These immaculately textured ceramic denim Walkabout Jeans are outfitted with a constructions belt with tools and work boots. 

Construction Belt and Work Boots - Bob - I call him Bob.  It took quite a while to carve the individual tools, place them in his work belt, and maintain them through all the processes involved with completing the figure.  Along the way, he lost his hammer, but he still looks great, especially with all the detail work on his construction boots.  Bob is proud to work hard, and and his jeans match his character in toughness.

Get to Know the Artist
I have been having great fun and fulfillment working in ceramics for the last 10 years, and my favorite creations are my “Walkabout Jeans” figurines, as inspired by my most-loved piece of clothing - blue jeans.  For me, they are comfortable, comforting, protective, and they provide all the pockets I need to carry my essentials.  I wear my jeans until they are threadbare, because getting rid of them is like abandoning an old friend.  One day I pondered whether my old jeans could take on a life and personality of their own, and go out and explore the world. I decided to start modeling my jeans in clay and glaze, and I just love making them.  They have evolved over the years, and, as influenced by my last 15 years in Texas, many have become cowboys, as shown in my latest gallery pieces.  Each pair of jeans is individually hand-built, painstakingly detailed, glazed, and painted, one at a time, each with their own uniqueness, just like each of us.
