Get to Know the Artist:
Christa Diepenbrock is a Texas-based ceramic artist and painter who earned her MFA in Painting from Texas Woman’s University. Her handbuilt and wheel-thrown stoneware vessels combine highly abstracted female faces, asymmetrical forms, and vivid layers of underglaze. Drawing upon decades of painting experience, she approaches each ceramic surface as a three-dimensional canvas, exploring identity, beauty, and the cultural association between women’s bodies and vessels. Her work is represented by galleries throughout Texas and Oklahoma.
