Get to Know the Artist:
Yanyan is an emerging jewelry artist based in Austin, Texas. Inspired by the filigree traditions of China's ethnic minority jewelry, her practice explores the relationship between cultural heritage, craftsmanship, and contemporary metalsmithing. Currently studying jewelry and metalsmithing at Austin Community College, she is developing her own interpretation of these techniques through handcrafted silver jewelry.
