Pudgy the Alien is a foreigner to this land. Pudgy was sent here to learn our ways and assimilate to our culture. So, they found a smartphone and became addicted to it. Pudgy also camouflages themselves to the surroundings hoping to avoid capture from the authorities.
Get to Know the Artist:
John Donofrio is a self-taught Austin artist whose work blends personal storytelling with Americana. He paints over discarded canvases from Austin Creative Reuse, often placing them in vintage frames to give new life to forgotten materials. Music deeply influences his process - he paints with songs playing and hopes some of that rhythm infuses into the work. John’s portfolio feels like a cross-country road trip: traveling back roads with no plan, good songs on the radio, and landscapes - both on the tables of folks visited along the way and scenes observed out his car window.
