Joanne Grimonprez is a French artist who lives and works in Austin. She is recognized for her distinctively architectural wearable sculptures. Working primarily with industrial materials, she fuses graphic form with minimalist construction to create art pieces that engage the body as both canvas and architecture. Her work blurs the boundaries between art, design, and jewelry, drawing inspiration from urban landscapes and mechanical structures. Trained at the Haute École des Arts du Rhin in Strasbourg and Munich Academy of Fine Arts, her creations have been exhibited internationally, and are part of the permanent collection of Paris Museum of Decorative Arts. Constantly exploring the dialogue between matter and wearer, she invites bold individuals to stand out by inhabiting her unforgettable pieces.
