Matisse painted his Parisian studio, then decided to paint the walls and floors over with red! Inspired by this bold move, I applied green to the walls and floor of the studio classroom in this painting. Martinez earned a BFA from The University of Texas at Austin and an MFA from the University of California, Davis.
